Readiness Requirements
Successfully completed Grade 6 with demonstrated reading comprehension, essay writing ability, mathematical problem-solving skills, and independent study habits. Any learning gaps should be addressed before starting.
Learning Outcomes
By year-end, learners will write argumentative and analytical essays, solve algebraic equations, understand economic principles, analyze historical events critically, and complete independent research projects. Time management and self-discipline become essential skills.

Assessment Approach
Formal examinations each term with comprehensive coverage of all subjects. Control tests, assignments, and practical assessments throughout. School-based assessment contributes to final marks. CAPS-aligned rubrics for all assessments.
Parent Role
Transition to academic coach and accountability partner. You'll ensure study schedules are followed, provide a suitable study environment, and support emotional wellbeing during increased academic pressure. About 6 hours daily of structured learning.
Teacher Support
Curriculum materials include subject-specific guidance, exam preparation tips, and academic support. Help with study techniques and managing workload.
Weekly Structure
Timetabled lessons for 9 subjects. Daily homework expectations. Regular tests and assignments. Exam weeks each term. Study skills sessions integrated throughout.
