NQF-aligned courses

South Africa's National Qualifications Framework (NQF) classifies qualifications into 10 levels, from General Education and Training at Level 1 to Doctoral Degrees at Level 10. Each level reflects the complexity, depth and scope of learning outcomes achieved.

What is an NQF-equivalent course?

An NQF-equivalent course aligns with the standards and learning outcomes prescribed for a specific NQF level. These courses are often developed in accordance with recognised accreditation-body requirements to support national recognition and transferability across industries.

Compulsory introductory skills course

Before progressing to an NQF-aligned program, every Zayo student must complete a compulsory, non-accredited skills course. It equips learners with workplace and industry knowledge, prepares them for NQF-level learning, evaluates readiness and establishes a common foundation.

Although this introductory course is not accredited, it is a mandatory prerequisite for NQF studies at Zayo.
